Episode Contents (This part may contain Spoliers)
There’s a half episode recap of the series so far which just adds to the shortness of the disc. Meh…

A new character called Near is now also on the case of Light double teaming Light is also a guy called Mellow, Mellow by name but not by Nature, while Near is not unlike L, going through the same channels and having the same Modus operandi, he has a penchant for messing with his hair and building blocks rather than confectionary.
Mellow is a tad more unhinged and violent and will result to kidnapping and other means to out / capture Kira, including holding Lights sister hostage ransoming her in exchange for the death note book.

Lights not as opaque as he’d like to be and L is already back on his case, Light is having Misa do all the criminal killings for him though, handy way to get someone else to take the warp if anything goes wrong. But while he seems to have thought of everything planning everybody’s actions out months in advance, if you don’t really like him as a character you’ll enjoy bits in this volume as everything being planned only heightens his distress when things go wrong and they do, even though it’s animation so you don’t get the subtleties of live action actors you can see the panic wash over him – and that alone is so much fun to watch.

Signed
Robert

Ai Says
" Half the runtime is a bit of a jip but the show itself remains solid and the new directions are beginning to impress particularly as Kira is getting deeper and deeper into a hole, which is immense fun to watch him squirm. "
