Clare after her bruising battles and looking for a break encounters Ophelia who is a little bit sadistic and cruel even towards other Claymore as she “torments” Clare. Ophelia slices off Clare’s legs and then fights Raki in a race for Clare to re-attach her legs back on and protect him, all the while she increases her fighting strength against Raki.
It just proves how ineffectual Clare can be in battle suffice to say things go from bad to worse. Left for dead Clare meets up with an unusual old acquaintance from both Clare’s and Teresa’s past and receives some yoda-like training in maters of the soul and matters of the sword, as well as the most unusual of gifts.
Claymore disc 4 has the three part story titled “The Witches Maw” that in itself is a cool name and is where we are introduced to some real power in the from of an “abyssal one” AKA “dwellers of the deep”
It tells the story that the Abyssal ones are up to something, these massively powerful yoma’s are a small group of 3-4 formally top ranked claymores who have surpassed there limits. Usually left alone due to there overwhelming power one who takes the form a young girl is trying to create more awakened beings by torturing claymores forcing them to surpass there limit and awaken and if they aren’t powerful enough her goon kills them.
The much like my reluctance with ghost hunt I would advice not watching the last episode don’t set yourself up for a doozy of a cliffhanger.
